  • HOW DO I FIND OUT WHAT SKILLS I NEED TO IMPROVE ON FOR THE EXAM?

There are two ways to find out what skills you need to improve on.

One is with the LifeLines Practice Test Score Card, a form you fill out after taking the official exam practice test. Here each question can be marked by type (ex. exponents, triangles, ratios etc.) and the reason why you missed it.

The other is by going through the LifeLines Workbooks. They are sectioned by Topics, each of which focuses on one skill at a time and has its own dedicated Drills and Quizzes.

    • The GMAT practice test is available for free at mba.com.
    • The LifeLines Practice Test Score card is free via PDF download on this site as part of the Lifelines for the GMAT Practice/Study Guide. There is also an example Score Card filled out included, so you can see how it works.

  • IF English is my second language? HOW WILL LIFELINES HELP ME?

Our non-native English-speaking students do just as well as any other students while covering this material.

  • How do I even start to study?

The LifeLines Workbooks have everything organized by steps. The front matter tells you how the exam itself works and what to ask your admissions office.

The lessons are made up of Topic modules that bracket the skills in their own dedicated sections.

The Topics include  Drills and Quizzes with solutions that give you immediate feedback. Topic by Topic you go through the skills covered in the exam.

    • A full list of skills (by Topic) is in the Table of Contents of both the Math and Verbal Workbooks.
    • The Math Workbook also includes a checklist of skills at the back of the book.
    • A copy of the Math Checklist is available for free by downloading the LifeLines for the GMAT Practice/Study Guide PDF.
  • Why do you start with simple MATH?

We assume that you’ve forgotten all of your math, even if you were a straight-A student. We start at the basics and build up to the level of the exam.

  • What about practicing the skills more?

Use the practice books made by the makers of the actual exams. The scope of material and the nature of the questions is true.

We have designed the LifeLines Practice Forms that organize the Math, and Verbal & Integrated Reasoning questions according to the LifeLines Topic skills.

The forms list the page number and question number of each Topic, along with a space to mark your answer choice. This is a great time saver.

The LifeLines Practice Forms can be downloaded FREE in the LifeLines for the GMAT Practice/Study Guide.

  • Do the workbooks have everything on the exam?

If a topic never appears on the exam, it’s not in the Lifelines Workbooks. And yes, everything on the exam is in the Workbooks.

  • WHAT MAKES THESE STRATEGIES YOU TALK ABOUT SO VALUABLE?

These strategies are easy to learn, and they show you how to answer the question quickly without working a lot of math. Basically, if you find yourself working a lot of math, you’ve missed the point of the question.

  • WHAT'S SO SPECIAL ABOUT THE LIFELINES QUIZZES?

The quizzes mimic the content, nature, and difficulty of the actual exam questions. In the LifeLines Workbooks, the quizzes are specific to each topic.
